SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals. The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner will identify outcomes of educational interventions based on input from learners and stakeholders, evidence, regulations and organizational goals.

Women's Health experience needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Masters of Science in Nursing or intent to complete Masters of Science in Nursing within three (3) years of hire

  • Three (3) years of relevant nursing experience

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Nursing Professional Development Certification or specialty certification
