Job Description

- Our telecommunication client is looking for a Project Manager to support their video operations environment.

- The team is focused on the companys highest visibility initiative which is expanding their network to offer the fastest internet and streaming capabilities at the most affordable prices. This effort includes interacting with multiple internal LOBs including architecture (non-production lab team), field operations, and executive leadership, as well as hardware equipment vendors.

- The PM needs to (1) be nimble and able to balance multiple priorities that may change frequently; (2) easily build relationships and rapport and be able to successfully drive deadlines; (3) be comfortable interfacing with executive leadership; (4) operate with data and metrics in mind; (5) positively and effectively drive projects in a fast-paced environment with executive visibility and involvement.

- Engineers are working on various cable and internet MOPs during daytime hours and implement network changes during nighttime maintenance windows.

- Since this is an operations environment, outages occur in which this PM will be in an on-call rotation to help triage and drive resolution.

- The environment is a blend of waterfall and agile concepts.

- Other daily responsibilities include:

o Understanding and supporting Jira ticket queues.

o Working with Excel to gather and track data and present trends to key stakeholders.

o Know where each project stands at all times.

o Coordinate and run meetings to track status and drive deadlines

The pay range for this role varies immensely based on depth of experience and can be anywhere from $65-$80/hour.

Skills and Requirements

- 5-7+ years of project management experience

- Comfortable working in an operations environment with ability to support rotating maintenance windows

- Highly organized

- Excellent interpersonal skills - Background working in an operations environment

- Cable/telecommunications experience

- Understanding of video engineering: Video on Demand (VoD), set top boxes, MPEG protocols, content delivery networks (CDN), DAC, DNCS, multiplexing, etc. null
