Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the Principal Business Development Manager for our Commercial Telecommunications vertical, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will lead the design and implementation of innovative commercial wifi, wireless capabilities, video, and other telco delivery strategies using our capabilities to offer “field service as a service”, that ultimately enhance customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and improve the operational efficiency of our partners.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful business development, strategic planning, and large deal ownership and execution in this arena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth - Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase market share and expand the company’s footprint in the commercial telecommunications delivery sector

  • Market Analysis - Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights. Use data-driven analysis to guide decision-making and prioritize growth opportunities

  • Client Acquisition - Identify and pursue new business opportunities with both existing and potential clients. Lead negotiations and manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract signing

  • Partnership Development - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and technology providers, to enhance the company’s service offerings

  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with operations, finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of new business initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and financial goals

  • Reporting & Metrics - Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development initiatives. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress against growth objectives

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales leadership, preferably within telco or logistics sectors

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in understanding and evaluating client requirements for custom cabling solutions and data center or telecom cabinets, translating these needs into business proposals and solutions

  • Experience overseeing technical project delivery, coordinating between engineering teams, operations and clients to ensure customized solutions meet specifications and are delivered on time, while aligning with business objectives

  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations relevant to power cabling/harnesses and telecom cabinets, such as UL, and local codes, to ensure solutions meet all necessary requirements

  • Familiarity with general data center design principles, including rack and cabinet integration, cooling requirements, power distribution, and cable management

  • Forward/Reverse Logistics Experience - Ability to leverage knowledge of reverse logistics processes to develop solutions that utilize our returns management, refurbishment, and recycling efforts to complement our partner solutions

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong focus on results

  • The ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary plus bonus, benefits, and potential equity participation based on company performance

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,110.00/Year - $145,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
