Cimarron Software Services, Inc. Embedded Software Engineer in Englewood, Colorado

Cimarron is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support a supplier of cutting-edge electronic systems designed for space utilization in Englewood, CO.

Key Duties:

Perform the full life cycle (requirements, design, code, and test) for real-time embedded software development with a focus on boot code, kernels, board support package (BSP) software, and driver code. Work on BSP development using the VxWorks 6.x/7.0 and Linux development suites targeting a variety of processors (PPC family, Leon (SPARC) family, ARM, and multicore processors) on commercial and custom built single board computers (SBCs). Coordinate and implement department and company-level infrastructure to accommodate efficient development, propagation, and maintenance of product line core and program-specific capabilities and functionalities. Develop and verify boot, kernel, and BSP code. Work in a laboratory environment to perform the initial bring-up of SBCs and verify code functionality. Provide support to internal and external embedded software application development teams. TRAVEL REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time. 5 or more years of C/C++ and/or embedded software development. Experience using VxWorks or Linux development suites. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Experience with PPC, ARM, multicore, and LEON (Sparc) processor families in VME, PCI, and custom backplane environments. Business Profile:
