Job Description

As a Senior Engineer on the Elections team, you will play a pivotal role in elevating election coverage. Your technical expertise will drive the development of applications that deliver real-time election results to a vast audience. You will thrive in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and leverage cutting-edge technologies to create impactful products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Ownership: Spearhead the technical development of applications that provide live election updates, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Code Commitment: Regularly commit high-quality code to various repositories, including the frontend render, internal Content Management System (CMS), and tools that support editorial staff.

Product Development: Innovate and develop new features and products that align with user needs and contribute to the strategic objectives of the business.

Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive tests to validate code and functionalities, ensuring robustness and reliability.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize application performance to guarantee high stability and speed.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years of experience as a Fullstack/Front End developer

JavaScript - React.js (Current environment), Vue.js

Node or Java on the backend

Hands on experience with testing - experience writing tests (Jest Testing, React testing library, Mocha testing)

Experience in AWS environment - Lambda, S3 null
