We'd love to have you join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging environment that will help you grow as an MRI technologist. You will be trained to perform complex exams including to but not limited to: DTI, fMRI, Breast, multi-parametric prostate, and fetal MRI. In addition, with our growth into other states and expansion plans, there are always options to transfer internally, work flexible hours, and learn multiple different platforms such as Siemens, Philips, GE, and Hitachi. What You'll Do: Demonstrate competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to customer populations and departmental services Operate the Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies Select appropriate imaging techniques, and operate console and peripheral hardware; enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in automatic processor Obtain images, produce film records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfer from desk to PACS stations Maintain accurate study documentation Demonstrate competencies in customer service and an understanding of SimonMed’s code of conduct and culture Use and operate equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations Participate in specific activities for the promotion of self-growth or the enhancement of a positive image Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Apply the standards of practice/performance in the work setting to achieve positive outcomes Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment Why You'll Love Working for Us: Health/Dental Short Term/Long Term Disability 401K Eligible Shift Differential Pay – Available for eligible shifts PTO Cash Out Opportunities What We Need from You: Requires formal education and training in the field or in a related area MRI certification required from ARRT or ARMRIT SimonMed Imaging requires a valid “Hands On” CPR where applicable Requires registration as a General Radiographer in the State of Florida High school degree or equivalent 1 year of experience preferred A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required May require lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling more than 40 pounds, pushing patients in wheelchairs, sitting for prolonged periods of time, frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching and occasional balancing and stooping, good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity, and the ability to be readily understood Ability to work in a stressful environment with multiple deadlines and priorities May be exposed to biohazards and chemicals as outlined in the MSDS Manual, plus other hazards/unpleasant working conditions Dress attire: Ceil blue scrubs Employee Type: Full-time, Part-time and PRN positions available Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
