What You Get To Do:

The Manager, Treatment and Behavioral Programs serves as the primary liaison and provider of services to support the correct and effective operation of treatment and behavioral programs operating in CCA facilities. Develops and maintains relationships with partner agencies and substance abuse and behavioral entities. Serves as a subject matter specialist regarding treatment and behavioral programming within the FSC.

The successful applicant should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.

  • Participates in the design and implementation of projects and initiatives that impact operations of FSC Inmate Programs Department and facility treatment and behavioral programs.

  • Assists in the planning, preparation, implementation, training, management, and technical support of various types of substance use treatment and behavioral programs; provides technical assistance, conducts program evaluations, and instruction and training regarding treatment and behavioral programs to facility staff.

  • Evaluates and verifies stipulations contained in contract proposals, policies, and partner contracts. Assists in the development of written narratives for substance use treatment, behavioral, and other related programs in response to all RFPs and for contractual agreements; maintains listing of agreements, tracks compliance, renewals and termination stipulations.

  • Researches current federal and state codes, rules, and regulations regarding substance abuse issues. Assists with oversight of external certification of treatment programs.

  • Develops and monitors systems for managing facility substance abuse and behavioral departments to include but not limited to, developing policy and procedures, orientation, and in-service.

  • Prepares statistical reports, correspondence, and/or other documents for publication to partner agencies and CoreCivic.

  • Creates monitoring systems to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and behavioral programs and compliance with relevant guidelines, laws, administrative regulations, and contractual obligations.

  • Conducts instruction training for correctional treatment and behavioral staff, develops and identifies curriculum, and oversees the correct and effective program delivery of treatment and behavioral program functions.Maintains appropriate knowledge of correctional treatment and behavioral theories and models, and program licensure and counselor certification regulations.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with partner agencies, and substance use treatment and behavioral entities.

  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related field is required.

  • Master's or other advanced Degree is preferred.

  • Three years of full-time professional work experience in managing or directing substance abuse or other behavioral programs is required.

  • Experience in the management or delivery of substance abuse or other behavioral programs in a correctional environment is strongly preferred.

  • A working knowledge of current research literature, practices, and protocols relevant to addictions treatment, behavioral programming, and correctional treatment is required.

  • NAADAC, IC&RC, or other professional substance abuse treatment certification preferred. Experience in curriculum development, training design, and presentation skills is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and in written and verbal communication is required.

  • Ability to travel within the domestic United States is required.

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
