Environmental Technician

Job Description

Seeking a proficient Environmental Technician to provide essential services including the installation, maintenance, and operations of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at various industrial client sites both locally and nationwide. The role involves significant travel, sometimes requiring several days at each site. The technician will perform EPA air emissions testing and monitoring, handle equipment transportation, setup, and breakdown, and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols. The position also demands ongoing learning and certification in EPA Test Methods, alongside regular communication and coordination with clients to meet their needs effectively.

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Work Environment

Fieldwork on industrial sites such as power plants and manufacturing facilities, with possible high elevation work up to 400 feet. Workdays can extend 8-10+ hours in the field or 8 hours in the warehouse. The role requires teamwork, varying travel schedules, and adaptability to weather conditions and project demands.
