Navistar, Inc. Supply Chain Manager – Finished Vehicle Transportation in Elmendorf, Texas

Position Overview

Navistar has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager – Finished Vehicle Transportation.

This Supply Chain Manager will report into the Director of Transportation Logistics and oversee the Finished Vehicle Transportation within Navistar’s Production & Logistics (P&L) organization. In this position you will manage a team that is responsible for defining and executing strategies for all of Navistar’s vehicle deliveries to final-destinations, while delivering an unparalleled customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overall finished vehicle management and performance.

  • Responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of our finished vehicle group

  • Lead the direction and relationship with 3rd party delivery companies: 3PL, hub management and other strategic relationships.

  • Responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.

  • Develop benchmark delivery strategies and execution plans as well as responsibility for actual results.

  • Motivate, develop, and provide leadership to the team.

  • Vastly experienced; decisions making are more highly tactical and operational.

  • Accountable for budget and policy recommendations and medium to long-term planning.

  • Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth organizational knowledge.

  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

  • Manage relationships across the organization, including but not limited to: manufacturing facilities, internal sales, finance, and dealers to deliver finished vehicles.

  • Collaborate with leaders in the industry to develop cohesive plans to provide a superior service level.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 12 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • Master’s degree

  • At least 10 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years of management experience

OR

  • At least 14 years of materials management or supply chain experience

  • At least 6 years of management experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
