DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will oversee, manage, and guide the operations of state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. As the general manager, your responsibilities will include the implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures related to store operations, the assignment and assessment of tasks, and the enhancement of customer relations. General managers hold accountability for the comprehensive operation of the store, encompassing sales, store upkeep, merchandise management, cash accounting, record maintenance, and all associated functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours will vary between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; or
  • Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or
  • Two years of lead or supervisory retail sales work.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
