AutoNation Auto Auction Atlanta Position Overview The Auction Reconditioning Manager is responsible for managing the team performing vehicle repair, mechanical inspection, wash and details in accordance with AutoNation Auto Auction standards. What are the day-to-day responsibilities? Manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and wash/detail associates. Diagnosing the cause of malfunction to complete the needed repair Advising clients on recommendations for repair and detail Communicating with Parts Vendor to obtain the needed parts Determining labor rates for repairs per Labor Vendor resources. Ordering tools as required and in stock supplies Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required Provide estimates to repair or clean vehicles and send for approval Updating or ensuring condition reports are up to date with mechanical inspection results Managing the list of vehicles that did not run on auction day to determine if repairs are needed Attending factory sponsored training classes Following federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes What are the requirements for this job? Auction experience highly preferred High School diploma or equivalent required. ASE certification(s) are a plus. At least four years automotive experience is preferred. Ability to use an on board scanner to check engine systems. Experience with AutoIMS, AllData, Autozone, CR Simplified software a plus. Must complete the NAAA structural analysis training and maintain certification for the duration of this position. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop and crouch. Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. Must have valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
