Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting a College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Retention Counselor to join our Student Engagement and Success (SES) Grants team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they promote and facilitate student development and success of CAMP eligible participants for the University. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. We\'re offering a salary, depending on experience, from \$37,740 - \$51,000 annually, plus all of the awesome CWU benefits. The CAMP Retention Counselor is an integral part of the CAMP team at CWU. The CAMP program is one of several federally funded grants at CWU designed to provide supportive services and resources to eligible participants. The Role: The Retention Counselor (RC) provides advising and personal counseling related to financial, social and academic support, ensuring eligible students are served and retained appropriately. In addition, the CAMP RC assists in implementing the grants\' goals and objectives in compliance with the US Department of Education (USDOE), Office of Migrant Education (OME), and Central Washington University (CWU). The CAMP Retention Counselor works in compliance with the regulations and policies of the US Department of Education, Office of Migrant Education, as well as the policies of the College Assistance Migrant Program. This position works in accordance with State and Federal Regulations, University policies and procedures and applicable collective bargaining unit agreements.
