Responsibilities:

• Independently or collaboratively design automated industrial machinery.

• Expertly use 3D modeling software, particularly SolidWorks.

• Specify mechanical parts, select materials, and design equipment for efficient manufacturability.

• Apply advanced knowledge of mechanical theory and principles of operation.

• Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

• Produce quotations for custom industrial automation applications and oversee projects from inception to installation and commissioning.

• Perform high-level troubleshooting, critical thinking, and utilize all available resources to solve mechanical or process problems.

• Assist in troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and components within existing industrial setups.

• Support mechanical crew during machine installation and commissioning, including interfacing auxiliary equipment, identifying and correcting design errors, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Stay updated on new mechanical technologies, industry trends, and standards that may impact customer operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in mechanical design and drawing within a related industry (industrial, manufacturing, automated machinery, etc.).

• Strong and recent skills working with SolidWorks 3D.

• Experience converting 3D designs into manufacturable drawings.

• Familiarity with controls, automation systems, and PLCs.

Experience Level:

• Intermediate

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
