My client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Elkton, MD. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, contributing to the overall success of the organization. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Provide support during external audits and tax filings

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

• Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and industry best practices

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA designation preferred

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
