Tool & Die MAKER

Must have experience in Tool and Die (3 years minimum)

Athen, AL

Day Shift Monday - Friday

$30/hr - $38/hr based off experience

Must have experience with the following:

Tool and Die Fabrication:

  • Experience in designing, building, and repairing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other components used in manufacturing.

Precision Machining:

  • Proficiency with CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment to create high-precision parts.

Blueprint Reading and Interpretation:

  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to guide the manufacturing process.

Material Selection and Processing:

  • Knowledge of different materials (metals, alloys, etc.) and their properties, as well as experience in heat treating, welding, and surface finishing.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

  • Skill in diagnosing and solving issues related to tool wear, production defects, and machine malfunctions.

Quality Control and Inspection:

  • Experience in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to ensure parts meet exact specifications and standards.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Ability to maintain, repair, and adjust tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to the operation of machinery and handling of materials in a manufacturing environment.

Process Improvement:

  • Experience in identifying opportunities for improving manufacturing processes, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.

Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to work closely with engineers, production teams, and other machinists to ensure successful project completion.

These experiences are essential to ensure a tool and die maker can perform effectively in their role and quality for the position.
