Manufacturer in Elkhart, IN is searching for a CNC Lathe/Grinder Machinist on 1st shift.

Hours: (1) 1st shift: 6AM to 4:30PM (Monday through Thursday) (6-8 hour shift on Friday if OT) (0) 3rd shift: 8PM to 6:30AM (Sunday through Wednesday) (6-8 hour shift on Thursday if OT * These positions will be training on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks. *

Pay: $19 to $23

Job Duties: - Setting up a single-spindle, single-turrent Okuma Lathe to rough turn the part - Setting up a Mitsubishi CNC Grinder and making adjustments if necessary (this is basically the same thing as the lathe, just tighter tolerances and a different tool) - In-depth blueprint reading - Completion of offsets and changing tooling - Ability to maintain tight tolerances (+/-.0005 (half thou)) - Detailed reading of sampling plans, inspection reports, and documentation of part runs - Utilization of various gauges, micrometers, optical comparators and other quality instruments - First article inspections and checks throughout part runs - Assurance of accuracy and minimization scrapped parts

MUST HAVE: - 2+ years of experience with CNC Lathe experience - Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints - Experience with micrometers, dial test indicators, and other quality instruments

Would Be Nice: - Ability to work within +/-.0005 tolerances - Ability to set up CNC Lathes or Surface Grinders - Job shop experience
