Aerotek Forklift Operator in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Candidates will be working in a warehouse environment. The warehouse is temperature controlled, well-lit, and clean. There is a faint smell of inks in the building. The primary duties include taking product from production and storing it in the warehouse using a stand-up forklift. Most of the day will be spent picking orders for shipping, using an RF Scanner to pick products and stack pallets.

Responsibilities

  • Operate stand-up forklifts to move products from production to warehouse storage.

  • Pick orders for shipping using RF Scanners.

  • Stack pallets efficiently and safely.

  • Pack, ship, and label products.

  • Utilize UPS Worldship and computers for shipping procedures.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience with stand-up forklifts or similar equipment.

  • Experience in shipping and receiving (S/R).

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift Certification.

  • Experience with inks, chemicals, or paint.

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature controlled, well-lit, and clean. There is a faint smell of inks, especially near the ink lab, but most of the time will not be spent in this area. The shift is 3rd shift, from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional overtime of about 5 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
