Pizza Hut Server Huddle House in Elk City, Oklahoma

SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

A. Customer Service

Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes using Huddle House Greetings for every Guest

Maintains solid menu knowledge, and serves Guests with urgency

Answer customer and employee questions and communicates customer requests to management

Maintain an awareness of all specials and promotions and promotes these to customers.

B. Security & Maintenance

Shares responsible with management team for controlling the inventory in the store

Follows correct vendor check-in procedure if trained; Completes daily pulls and shift counts

Ensures tasks are completed on shift

Adheres to all Company policies and procedures; Follows policies in regards to emergencies and accidents

C. Job Knowledge

Ensures dining room and tables are set up correctly

Pre-busses and busses tables; Completes all side work

Correctly rings all sales on POS system

Able to handle server banking; money is counted accurately

Reports all tips

Delivers food promptly to Guests and assists other servers as needed

Follows food safety procedures

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Able to perform mathematical computations and provide correct change to customers

Able to operate a POS system and timecard system on the computer

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.

Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.

Must have the ability to follow verbal and written communications.

Must be able to independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant

  2. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store; Ability to stand up for at least an 8 hour shift.

  3. Ability to perform repetitive standing, stooping, and bending as necessary.

  4. Ability to move or handle products throughout the restaurant, generally weighing 0-50 pounds.

  5. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

  6. Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, bend and clean areas such as bathrooms, and lift and carry out trash containers.

  7. Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 28 degrees and a freezer of 0 to10 degrees below zero.
