UVM Health Network- Elizabeth Community Hospital Philanthropy & Community Engagement Officer in Elizabethtown, New York
JOB SUMMARY:
The Philanthropy and Community Engagement Officer, Elizabethtown Community Hospital is an essential member of the UVMHN Development Team and partners closely with Development Offices across the UVM Health Network and UVM Health Network Development Shared Services team to successfully execute a fundraising program at Elizabethtown Community Hospital. The Philanthropy and Community Engagement Officer will focus on grateful patient fundraising and donor and community engagement activities. The position proactively identifies and cultivates new donor prospects, maintaining a portfolio of lead annual and rising major donor prospects. The position also manages donor and community engagement efforts, including donor stewardship activities, fundraising events, and annual giving solicitations. As part of a shared leadership team, this position reports to the Director of Development, Porter Medical Center.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
* 2-5 years of professional fundraising, sales, marketing, public relations, and/or communications experience, with evidence of increasing responsibility
* Broad base knowledge of non-profit fundraising programs, including experience with gift cultivation, high quality stewardship, and fundraising events
* Experience in fundraising, sales, or relationship building; ideally proven track record in frontline fundraising
* Effective project management skills gained through experience in project/process management and/or initiatives
* Demonstrated experience in Development operations and workflow or equivalent
