Fortive Corporation Cycle Counter in Elizabethtown, North Carolina

Job Summary:

The Cycle Counter will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall inventory management process.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory in various locations within the manufacturing facility.

  • Verify inventory quantities by comparing physical counts to system records and investigating discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with Materials Manager and Buyers to develop and implement cycle counting procedures and schedules.

  • Identify and report any inventory issues, such as damaged or misplaced items, to the appropriate personnel.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of annual physical inventory counts.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and 5S standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and control.

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 5 years of cycle count, water spider, pacer, floater or equivalent material handler experience preferred

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of handling up to 50 lbs for short bursts; 50+ pounds will be handled with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors and hoists.

  • Ability to stand for long periods up to eight hours or more at a time.
