Akebono Brake Corporation Support Associate in Training - 2nd Shift in Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Through technical training and OJT, the associates will be responsible for providing support for improvements in the maintenance department by performance various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance building and equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Progresses toward proficiency in skilled maintenance activities such as: electrical, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, carpentry, mechanical or machining type of work.
• Develops knowledge to operate machine tools, hand tools, various test equipment as well as other types of maintenance equipment.
• Learns to perform preventive maintenance activities.
• Learns to interpret diagrams, specifications and drawings.
• Performs all work in compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
• Responsible for accurate recording of SPC information where required.
• May assist with maintaining inventory and records of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Will also perform other duties as assigned.
• S upports ABE's Quality System and Loss Control/Safety Programs through active involvement.
• Performs clean-up operations on various processes which may require the handling of hazardous wastes and insuring that these wastes are placed in the appropriate container.
Qualifications and Skills
• High School required, additional technical training preferred.
• To progress to full maintenance Team Member, the individual will acquire the necessary training, experience and skills on a timetable determined by ABE which will satisfy the minimum training and experience requirements for the Support Associate in Training program.
• Overtime Team Member will develop strong technical knowledge in one or more maintenance areas.
• Ability to work in a team environment .
