Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support KMS and our government customer in Elizabeth City, NC.

The successful candidate will provide substantive support to the USCG ALC warehouse management support services at the USCG Base Elizabeth City.

Essential Functions:

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.

  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.

  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

  • Packing and repacking a variety of items such as industrial, electronic, aircraft and general parts, components, equipment, and other items including printed forms and publications that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques. Packing may be for shipment or storage.

  • Prepares documents either manually or by using automated equipment such as computer terminals and bar code wands to read, store, track, and prepare materials documentation.

  • Uses pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure that proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are met and damage in storage or in transit is prevented.

  • As required, personnel assist with conducting inventories of material and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen and Have a valid Driver's License.

  • Licensed and capable of operating lifting and material handling equipment to include forklifts, hand carts, and pallet jacks.

  • Ability to lift and carry items that weigh about 23 kilograms (50 pounds) with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers.

  • Ability to frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 9 kilograms (20 pounds).

  • Must possess a current Forklift and Pack Mule license.

  • May be required to possess a valid truck and trailer license.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
