Machine operator

$20-$26/hour

Elgin, Illinois

Job description:

• Setup and operate a high-speed manufacturing machinery.

• Must possess sense of urgency in fast paced environment, while working safely

• Control amount of scrap produced and correctly label scrap

• Assist in the setup of machine, and keep machine running.

• Read and understand production order in order to know required set ups / quantities needed

• Clean the machinery when there's downtime in order to ensure optimal efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of machine operator experience

• Accurately read a measuring tape and ruler

• Basic shop math

• Ability to work in a high-speed packaging environment, package, and label

• Work with a sense of urgency without jeopardizing attention to detail/quality

• Heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.

Schedule & Wage:

(Monday - Friday)

• 2nd shift: 2pm –11pm

• 3rd Shift: 10pm - 6am

Work Environment:

You will be required to wear steel toes, safety vests, safety glasses, and ear protection. You must be comfortable on your feet and walking as this facility is VERY spacious and is well ventilated.
