RI&S - Advanced Electro-Optics (AEO) - has an immediate leadership opportunity for an experienced Senior (Lead) Systems Engineer with airborne electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) surveillance and targeting sensor systems background. This is an opportunity to use your expertise with related hardware and performance analysis, algorithm development, control systems, and optical signal processing capabilities.
You will be a key contributor in a dynamic system engineering team on a new high-profile program developing the next generation of airborne advanced Electro-Optical systems including imagers, passive/active EO tracking, LIDAR, and directed energy systems. You will be responsible for performing mode development, design, performance analysis, modeling & simulation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with very strong problem solving skills and also have demonstrated capability in design, integration and test of complex engineering systems.

Minimum of 10 years systems engineering experience to include airborne system design and/or systems engineering in a related development environment.
Airborne EO/IR hardware design and/or systems engineering experience in development and production organizations.
Experience with laboratory test, flight test, and qualification of airborne systems.
Experience leading derivation of component and product requirements from system level requirements, and analyzing system performance.
Experience establishing and maintaining a technical baseline, and leading proactive change control of that baseline.
Experience leading internal and external design and test readiness reviews as well as proposal technical and cost estimation efforts.
Experience conducting technical supplier management of development subcontractors.
Must be able to travel periodically in support of offsite testing.
Strong technical writing / oral communication skills and experience interfacing with senior customer technical representatives and company executive leadership.
Must have an active and in-scope DoD Secret U.S. security clearance.
Demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and in control account management.
Experience with developing and executing factory test plans, procedures, and equipment.
Demonstrated production support, troubleshooting, and factory improvement initiative experience.
Specific knowledge and prior experience with image processing electronics, optics, and cooled focal plane array integration.
Prior experience as an IPT-L or Program Manager.
Experienced leading customer witnessed testing.
Experience developing alignment and calibration of EO/IR sensing systems.
Active SSBI clearance.
Required Education: B.S. in a related STEM discipline.
M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Math, Physics, or related degree.
