This position is specifically for a Senior Systems Engineer II to provide engineering leadership to the systems, software, integration & test, and technology transition teams as part of the Advanced RF department.

The highly qualified candidate should possess career experience in technology development and demonstrate technical execution knowledge in throughout the systems engineering lifecycle. As the Integrated Product Team Lead for this Program, you’re responsible for overall leadership of the Integrated Product Team, including:

  • Capture opportunities throughout proposal processes, and new business ventures

  • Coordinating program start-up and program execution activities

  • Executing the delivery of the products and services as defined in the statement of work

    Throughout these activities, you’ll work directly with the Advanced Algorithms program management team. You will be responsible for reporting all engineering status to the Program Manager and Chief Engineer m and act as an interface between the development team and program management. Your responsibilities include ensuring key hand-offs are identified, any issues/challenges are surfaced and resolved in a timely manner, corresponding risks and opportunities are identified and managed and products/services are delivered on time and on-schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the IPT, including decision making, problem resolution, staffing decisions and team growth and development

  • Ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality, and EXIM requirements

  • Support follow-on program pursuits

  • Ensure accurate and complete control account management, Earned Value analysis, and Estimates at Completion

  • Establish and maintain IPT elements/interfaces of the Integrated Master Schedule

  • Support the Chief Engineer and Technical Lead in developing product roadmaps and strategies enabling the program to pursue and capture growth opportunities

  • Cultivate an inclusive culture where people feel comfortable to raise issues early and present alternative viewpoints

  • Provide leadership and management to the various functional Cross Product Teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of products and services from within the IPT.

  • Execute to achieve technical, cost and schedule requirements during PMX Gates 4 thru 11 to include management of associated risks and opportunities.

    Required Skills:

  • Domain Knowledge

  • Minimum of 8 years of Systems Engineering (or equivalent) experience

  • Experience developing Performance Measurement Baselines, implementing EVMS, developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules, Risk & Opportunity Management or related program or project management tools

  • Demonstrated foundational understanding of airborne radar systems and their principals of design, development, requirements, I&T, Operation, and Flight Test

  • Leadership

  • Ability to work independently; determine and develop approaches to solutions

  • Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to internal and external stakeholders

  • Evidence of problem solving and time management skills

    Required Education:

  • BS in Engineering, Sciences, or Mathematics or similar STEM discipline

  • MS in Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, or Management or similar STEM discipline
