Description

A well-established CPA firm in El Segundo, CA, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, particularly in managing the financial records of 50-60 clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and process payroll for clients, ensuring timely and accurate payment.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow for clients.

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for clients, providing clear and concise summaries of financial data.

  • Assist with tax preparation and filing, working closely with the CPA team.

  • Handle client inquiries and provide excellent customer service, addressing any financial concerns or questions.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in financial and tax laws.

  • Collaborate with the CPA team to support audits, tax planning, and other accounting functions as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a CPA firm or similar environment.

  • Proven experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to clients' financial challenges.

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting is a plus.
