Responsibilities of a Warehouse Associate
Examples of common responsibilities:
- Unpacking and organizing incoming shipments
- Making sure items are stored in the correct location
- Picking and packing orders correctly
- Operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and similar items.
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Assisting with daily/weekly/monthly inventory counts
- Loading and unloading trucks
Warehouse Associate Job Requirements
Examples of common requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at a fast pace environment
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adhere to safety best practices and policies
- Understand how and when to use PPE equipment
- Experience operating machinery
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
