Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Houston site is looking for a new Road Logistics Operations Team Leader to join our Project Logistics team.

Your Role

As our Road Logistics Operations Team Leader, your main duties will include requesting and verifying complete service quotes from suppliers for new business, process quotes using required tools, and negotiate shipping costs and rates with suppliers.

Your Responsibilities

• Request and verify complete service quotes from suppliers for new business.

• Process quotes using required tools.

• Negotiate shipping costs and rates with suppliers.

• Coordinate planning, dispatch, and customer service activities.

• Actively engage in the entire new business quoting process.

• Fill and update work sheets (purchasing, sales, carrier, service, etc.).

• Increase success rate in our sales process.

• Analyze data from quoting tools and sources; present monthly (routes, costs, hit ratio, response times).

• Monitor KPIs like Closing Ratio, Response Time to create action plans.

Your Skills and Experiences

• 5+ years Customer Service

• 4+ years Preparation of Quotes and Monitoring

• 5+ years experience in Freight Forwarding

• 5+ years experience in Roadfreight Operations

• Understanding of Business Development and or commercial Process

• Exposure to Database Management
