Job Title: General Labor

Job Description

Inspect customers' cars for dents, scratches, damage, and needed repairs. Document the damage, wash and prep cars for customers to pick up, and move cars around the lot to the correct areas for pickup. Interact with customers over the phone and in person. Perform vehicle damage inspections, take pictures, and handle tasks supporting the in/out processing of Service Members and Department of Defense Civilians being processed for shipment and/or storage.

Responsibilities

• Perform a series of inspections for damages

• Place proper decals on vehicles

• Take proper pictures of vehicles being processed

• Ensure vehicles are in proper condition to be stored or shipped

• Ensure vehicle interiors and exteriors are clean and free of debris and personal items

• Remove/Pull vehicles and park vehicles in proper spaces and positions

• Wash vehicles

• Maintain tools and equipment and keep a clean work area

• Respond to routine requests via e-mail, phone, in person, or by correspondence

• Greet customers and professionally interact with them face-to-face, provide information and offer assistance

• Assist VPC management staff

• Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures

• Follow all processes and procedures

• Communicate professionally with management, customers, contractors, and fellow workers

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work a flexible schedule

Essential Skills

• Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles within the lot

• Must have a valid US Driver’s License

• 6+ months of driving for work is ideal

• Willingness to train

Work Environment

IAL ships the cars of deployed service members to where they are stationed. The work environment is mostly inside a fan-cooled area where inspections and cleaning will happen. There will be some work outside when moving the cars. You will be on your feet all day.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $18.85/hr.
