Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

This role requires skill and performance in all phases of CNC lathe work including operating, setting, and editing programs for CNC lathes. The position involves lifting, bending, and considerable time performing precision tasks. Responsibilities also include deburring parts, checking coolant levels and other fluids, and maintaining cleanliness around the shop.

Hard Skills

• Ability to perform mathematical tasks for angular and linear dimensions in part fabrication

• Proficiency in GD&T

• Understanding of material properties (Stainless steel, inkanel, aluminum, titanium, etc.) and their behavior under various conditions

• Holding close tolerances and producing quality work (+/- 2 thou)

• Using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and indicators

• Experience with NC VTL Hyundai WIA LV 1100 RM

• Ability to proofread CNC code

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in El Cajon, California.

Work Environment

The candidate will initially train for 2-3 months on the first shift from 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Post-training, the position will move to the second shift, working from 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. This shift change offers ample opportunity for career progression.
