Robert Half Bookkeeper Full Charge in El Cajon, California

Description We are on the look out for a talented Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper might also be allowed to lead the clerical staff. Self-driven and organized accounting professionals might be interested in this Bookkeeper role if they thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the El Cajon, California area.

What you get to do every day

  • Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Direct Accounts Receivable

  • Organize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Report on business license and gross receipts

  • Supervise monthly accounting close

  • Capable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Secondary assignment when necessary

  • List budget transfers

  • Produce cash flow projections, as needed

  • Keep a check on Accounts Payable

  • Plan monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents Requirements - Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Financial statement preparation experience

  • Automated billing experience

  • Quickbooks Online experience

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

    • Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

    • 5+ years of related experience- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
