Job Purpose:

Supervises bingo floor activities during an assigned shift

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains efficient operation of bingo floor activities by scheduling and assigning duties to floor personnel based on business volume, submitting time and attendance documentation to appropriate personnel, instructing staff on correct departmental policies and procedures, supervising and training bingo clerks and callers in their assigned areas, providing guidance and direction to staff as needed, and assisting in administrative duties for casino promotions and Title 31 compliance.

• Ensures the integrity of bingo activities by observing floor activities, identifying irregular or suspicious activity, and reporting activity to appropriate personnel.

• Provides guest service by supplying guests with bingo information, instructions, and game participation opportunities, initiating and fostering positive guest relations with players, reviewing and resolving guest disputes, and responding to players’ needs and requests.

• Ensures accurate inventory of portable electronic devices (travelers) by verifying return of bingo electronic devices, entering counts in the inventory log, sequentially storing devices in numbered crates, and notifying Bingo Manager and vendor of broken, lost, or misplaced units.

• Maintains inventory control for all bingo paper and daubers according to policy. Maintain an accurate account of voids, stock-outs, disposal, and removal of waste and defective bingo paper or daubers. Ensures delivery of paper and daubers and maintains an accurate inventory account by stocking in and stocking out paper and daubers and conducting end-of-month audits.

• Develops team members by hiring qualified personnel, conducting performance appraisals of bingo staff, recommending training or corrective action as needed, and acting as an advisor to resolve team member conflicts.

  Job Specifications:

  Education and Experience:

  Essential:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• 5 years of Guest Service experience

• 21 years of age

  Desirable:

• Supervisory experience

• Casino experience

• Tribal Gaming experience

  Skills and Knowledge:

  Essential:

• Working knowledge of bingo games, rules, regulations, and procedures

• Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests

• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

• Ability to compose written documents in the English language

• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

• Ability to accept constructive criticism

• Ability to walk and stand for up to eight hours at a time

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments

• Ability to complete forms, documents, and written reports

• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions

• Ability to provide guidance to staff

• Ability to work in a smoking environment

• Ability to appear for work on time

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  Desirable:

• Multi-lingual

• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

• Working knowledge of EPIC/ OASIS reporting tools
