we are currently looking for a fulltime commercial and customer-oriented field Therapy Sales Specialist with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for sales driven person with a at least 2 years commercial experience and relation management skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and healthcare or MedTech background. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
A Day in the Life
We offer you a position where you will develop and support the Medtronic activities with our accounts for all Cranial/Spinal and Neurosurgery Technologies we offer with our PME-portfolio:
Power-tools / high-speed drills (MIDAS-REX), Neuro-Monitoring-Equipment (NIM Eclipse), Energy products (AEX-portfolio) and our Shunt-business in the defined sales territory of The Netherlands.

Selling and account support:
Assigned geographic region The Netherlands
Providing clinical case support in OR to surgeons nursing staff in the operating theatre.
Analyses the market, develops an effective territory/account sales strategy, and presents the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
Acquires, maintains, and develops new and existing customers in this territory.
Identifies and addresses all key decision makers (clinical, administrative / economic) key opinion leaders and key referrals in all accounts and reports on them to the Country Sales Manager Spinal Cranial Technologies (CST) on a regular basis.
Close cooperation with Neurosurgical, Trauma and Orthopedic Departments and stakeholders.
Fosters clinical networks and develops referral structures.
Further develops existing accounts into new therapies and develops entirely new accounts.
Builds strong and long-lasting business relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
Supports and/or leads high speed-drills, neuro-monitoring and advanced HF-surgery development projects.
Performs all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy).
Attends and participates in key professional congresses and events as required.
In conjunction with other members of the team, plans sales coverage/resources in the most effective and economical manner. Above average flexibility in working hours / schedule.
Identify and develop account potentials, account segmentation planning, documentation in CRM (salesforce.com).
Negotiate contract and terms, close deals.
Interfaces with Marketing, Therapy Sales Specialists Spine, Account Sales Representatives and IHS (Integrated Hospital Solutions) specialists.
Implements, promotes and supports the use of our new Cranial Neuro navigation therapies.
Internal and administrative
Reports all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion.
Plans and prepares sales forecasts by account, product and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments.
Carries out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner, (i.e. boot stock reports, stock movement forms etc.). Provides minimum, but regular activity report to sales manager. Attends all required regional and national meetings.
Bachelors degree or its equivalent
Minimum of 2 years Medical device or surgical related sales experience
Fluency in Dutch and English
Ability to work in an operating room setting
Ability to deliver demos and product related trainings to existing and new customers
Ability to effectively build relationships with a wide range of clinical and Non-Clinical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and without supervision
Understanding of the national (Dutch) / local health care system
Knowledge of MS Office package
Demonstrate business acumen and use this accordingly
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Travel within the designated territory is required
Living in Central, Western or Northern part of the Netherlands

Key Account Management skills (KAM)
General product and Therapy knowledge of the defined product scope
Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians.
