Senior Design Technologist:

Join the Service Experience Team in Philips Experience Design (Innovation & Strategy) where you will drive the delivery of superior service across businesses through the design and development of best-in-class solutions. In this position of Senior Design Technologist, you will work at the cross-section of design and software development to link user needs and business opportunities with technical constraints and capabilities.

Your role:

• You create compelling software prototypes and develop software user interfaces to make future experience concepts real through software development.

• You understand the implications of experience requirements and user needs on the architecture and implementation of complex systems, and advocate for the user throughout the development process.

• You collaborate with design, engineering, and service delivery colleagues to simplify how software platforms enable service delivery.

• You take care of effective communication with team members and stakeholders, using presentations, demos, and prototypes along with actual code to communicate concepts and support decision-making.

• You identify opportunities and constraints inherent in technology and platform decisions and illuminate the impact of technology choices on user experience, product quality, and maintainability.

• You drive technical choices with development teams , contributing to implementation of concepts including solving technical challenges, recommending alternative approaches, and contributing directly to software development.

You're the right fit if:

• Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., software engineering, computer science, design, human-computer interaction, etc.).

• 5+ years of experience in a related role, such as web development, UX design or product design.

• Strong expertise in several front-end programming languages and techniques. Proficiency with some back-end languages.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage design projects from conception to completion, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.

• Design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite

• Development tools such as VSCode, XCode, Android Studio, Git. Code analysis: lint, sonarcube, black duck etc.
