You will play a strategic role requiring a combination of facilitative elements with active elements like Program Management.

You will be cooperating extensively across Innovation & Strategy, Business units, Regions and supporting functions. As a member of the Innovation Effectiveness management team, you will be using your strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, as well as excellent program management skills to get things done.

You are responsible for

• Building and maintaining the aggregate (or consolidated) focus areas for the Innovation Strategy across the enterprise based on key input from Business Unit Innovation Leaders, Innovation & Strategy leaders and Group Strategy

• Exchanging (and deploying where applicable) with relevant stakeholders

• Leading the Innovation part of the Strategy Process, working closely with Group Strategy, and Business Units, including performance monitoring

• Supporting the Head of Innovation Effectiveness with special strategic assignments; including cross-functional projects/programs with major impact, requiring large/multi-disciplinary teams, typically with global implications

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with e.g. Group Strategy, Finance and relevant stakeholders in the Business Units

The global Innovation Effectiveness team within the Innovation & Strategy Organization reports to the Head of Innovation Effectiveness. Our mission is to support businesses to amplify performance & portfolio health while maximizing the result of investment​. We have a collaborative, pro-active mindset and actively engage with businesses, markets and functions acting both as a challenger of the status quo as well as an enabler for success, thereby raising the bar for Philips.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Master's degree in a related field and 10+ years of experience in Innovation within a MedTech company in a leadership role

• Strong background in strategy and innovation, preferably with application experience (3+ years) in a business

• Passion for transformative innovation combined with a “two feet on the ground” drive to turn ideas into business successes

• Strong eye for end-user (patients, providers, payers) needs/requirements and how to create value for Philips

• Natural curiosity and permanent learning and improvement mindset

• Leadership and managerial ability to facilitate portfolio choices based on objective criteria and calibrated data

• Familiarity and competence in achieving results within a complex global matrix organization with a passion for organizational and process simplification

• Proven change management expertise

• Demonstrated ability to manage executive level stakeholder relationships

• Natural approach of “leading through influence” and building collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders

• Well-developed network and good overview of the Philips innovation landscape, businesses, partnerships, competencies

• Excellent communication and interaction skills
