Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Test Technician to join our Engineering team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in the Netherlands. As a world-class leader in scientific research and innovation, we are dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

In this exceptional opportunity, you will have a vital role as the lead assembler of the accelerator group. Your main responsibilities will include problem-solving, upkeep, and enhancement of the clean working method, as well as ensuring the punctual delivery of modules with outstanding quality. Moreover, you will closely collaborate with the supervisor to support daily planning and whiteboard meetings. This position provides the opportunity to work with advanced technology and be part of a collaborative and highly effective team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as first line support between the troubleshooting and engineering department

  • Serve as a backup team lead/supervisor

  • Introduce and assist new team members

  • Perform work based on detailed instructions

  • Test and troubleshoot various modules

  • Ensure timely delivery of modules with high quality

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts of products and processes

  • Actively participate in daily whiteboard meetings

  • Independently identify and analyze problems to find effective solutions

  • Work with high vacuum and high voltage systems

Requirements:

  • Secondary technical education (MBO) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in mechanics or electronics (mechatronics)

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Experience with ESD safe working

  • Proficiency in vacuum technology

  • Familiarity with electronic measuring equipment

  • Knowledge of Windows and other PC-based software installations
