Philips Internship: Performance Management Innovation in Eindhoven, Netherlands

Philips has a number one market share position in Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM). For HPM, our team supports Services Delivery teams globally to deliver best possible Solutions, Services and Customer Experience in the most effective and efficient way. Thus providing value to our Customers, supporting them in operational and clinical excellence. Services Delivery Performance Management (SDPM) is key for continuously improving HPM Business and Customer success.

The goal of this internship is to explore options for innovating Services Delivery Performance Management, independent of today’s practice, open-minded. Applicable to deliveries on our classical (transactional) deals, as well as our new (recurring, contract-based, XaaS) business models.

As a result of this internship, we expect proposals for renewed SDPM approach(es) including pros & cons and gaps to be addressed. Based on out-of-the-box analysis and design, with comparison against current ways of working. To help us (re)consider our SDPM strategy and tactics going forward.

Your role:

  • Define criteria for successful Services Delivery Performance Management

  • Bench-mark, explore other/external businesses’ performance analysis practices to compare with ours

  • Analyze stakeholder landscape in Philips HPM

  • Prioritize the process areas to focus on within the full end-to-end process

  • Explore alternative approaches/methods/tools (AI?) for HPM performance analysis

  • Align/spar with your colleagues in the SDPM team and key leaders

  • Challenge established performance analysis practices

  • Consolidate insights and learnings into proposal (process, tooling, roles, governance…)

You're the right fit if:

  • Studying towards your Master’s degree e.g. in Industrial Engineering & Management.

  • Analytical thinker with detail- and process-oriented mindset, while keeping the overview.

  • Good in English, both verbally and writing.

  • Self-starter, not afraid to look for information and reach out to new people.

  • Proficient in digesting, organizing and transforming data into insights.

  • Able to work with the team at High Tech Campus (Eindhoven)

  • Open-minded, eager to learn and work in an international, multi-cultural environment.

In return we offer you

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university. Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
