Job objective

Engineer should be expert in different engineering activities inside the factory such as utilities maintenance and support and will be responsible of the relevant supporting building services and components by focusing on safety, economy, reliability, sustainability and process quality to be installed and maintained in a timely manner; assuring that the final product output complies with the international standards and markets quality. Engineer mainly involved in engineering design process with all MEP (drainage, piping, plumping, water distribution system, boilers, steams, firefighting, water treatment station or planet, …etc) check the completion of utilities and services required to perform the operation process in a well-steered method, participate in review, Inspect, and approve process of all materials submittals to be ready for installation, then continuously supervision of all installations and constructions process developing and maintaining broad range of unities systems and components.

Key responsibility

• Engineer mainly involved in engineering design process (installation, FAT, SAT, Maintenance, PM, Design background) with all MEP (drainage, piping, plumping, water distribution system, boilers, steams, firefighting, water treatment station or planet, …etc)

• Perform with subcontractors and General Contractor to oversee equipment installation.

• Ensure to complete installation needs and requirements as stated by site management.

• Manage directly and provides engineering and technical supports to all the equipment and utilities.

• Ensure that all the works done are in accordance with the Egyptian local relevant codes and complied with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, and project technical specifications.

• Responsible to prepare precise “weekly” progress reports and introduce project documentation.

• Coordinate and follow up with supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors based on the time frame schedules

• Document and check with Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions based on manufacture recommendations.

• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that systems and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

• Establish and coordinate the maintenance (PM) or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition.

• Responsible for all commissioning and validation of the equipment.

Academic experience required

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Power department is preferred)

Professional experience required

• Minimum 8 year of engineering experience.

• Minimum 5 years of Utilities Engineering experience.

• Good knowledge theory of machines, fire-engineering applications and Electromechanical engineering.

• Experience in utilities maintenance and managing, ETP Design and sizing, water plant scheme, etc.

• Previous experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is preferable

Computing skills

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

• Good understanding of CAD software or similar.

Personal skills

• Detail oriented.

• Strong follow up skills.

• Proven project management & supervision skills.

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.

Languages

Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
