U.S. Air Force - Agency Wide SECURITY SPECIALIST-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY in Eglin AFB, Florida

In this position you will serve as a Government Special Access Program Security Officer, providing expert technical advice in the complex area of special access programs; special security representative, classification management program, management of security incidents; education and awareness training; security survey and special security inspection for assigned programs. Implement and administer the SAP Information Security Program; Serve as a Security Professional for the testing, fielding and protection of advanced and Special Access Program resources and technologies. Implement and administer the Personnel Security Program. Establish local procedures for processing access requests for wing military, civilian and contractor personnel. Implement and administer SAP Industrial Security Program. Review and coordinate on contractor visitor security group agreements and DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications for technical accuracy, extent of security protection required, and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval. Implement and administer the physical security program. Implements DOD, USAF, DIA and MAJCOM policies and directives for the construction, protection and operation of all advanced programs facilities to include Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFS). In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management positions located here SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences for this position and specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate are least three years of Special Access Program experience, three years of Special Access Program Personnel Security and three years of Special Access Program Physical Security desired as well as ability to work in high volume, fast pace, multi tasked classified environment, persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions, ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes, ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of information, industrial, physical and personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. Knowledge of Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures. Skill in developing, analyzing and evaluating SAP security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customer, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
