Olsten Staffing is assisting a company in the Effingham SC area in the search for experienced and eager Quality Control Technician . The Quality Control Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring all product meets the highest standard of quality and safety. The payrate for this role is $15.15 an hour.

Hours:

Monday-Friday with flexibility to work weekends

1st shift- 4am-2pm

2nd shift 4pm-2am

Key Responsibilities :

Quality Monitoring: Inspect and test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and any non-conformities identified. Prepare reports and communicate findings to relevant departments.

Process Improvement: Identify and report any quality issues or deviations from standards. Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions and process improvements.

Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards.

Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.

Training: Assist in training new team members on quality control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to analyze data and generate reports. Familiarity with quality control methodologies and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA).

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with quality control testing equipment and software.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $15.15 per hour
