Robert Half Demand Planning Manager in Effingham, South Carolina

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager in the Food & Food Processing industry, located near Florence, South Carolina. The role involves managing the demand planning process, developing forecasting models, and collaborating on the Sales and Operation Planning (S& OP) process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and update statistical baseline sales forecast monthly for a planning horizon.

• Create and implement forecasting models considering historical sales data, industry trends, and other relevant factors.

• Collaborate directly with top customers and the sales organization for demand insights.

• Lead the consensus sales forecast process by working with sales, marketing, production, and finance teams.

• Collaborate with all levels and functions within the company on the Sales and Operation Planning (S& OP) process.

• Analyze forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

• Monitor inventory levels to identify potential stockouts or surpluses.

• Develop and recommend production schedules, purchasing plans, and inventory levels.

• Manage the long-range sales forecast and communicate demand forecasts and plans to internal stakeholders.

• Support the implementation of new demand planning tools and assist with data research and quantitative analysis in ad hoc projects.

• Identify and mitigate risk associated with demand fluctuations.

• Stay informed about the latest demand planning trends and technologies

Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of CRM systems and their usage within a supply chain context.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• Experience with ERP Solutions, specifically within the food and food processing industry.

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.

• Proven experience in KPI Reporting and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Must have solid knowledge of logistics and its role in the supply chain.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food and food processing industry.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary.

• Should be detail-oriented and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Must have strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
