ASRC Federal Holding Company Logistics Specialist (supporting Air Force Research Lab) in Edwards AFB, California

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist at the Air Force Research Lab, Edwards, AFB, CA.

ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to support the ASTROS Contract as an Associate Logistics Analyst. Our mission is to provide incredible customer support. The successful candidate will perform will support a major test environment by placing, tracking and receiving orders, maintain Material Stock, track items on schedule for preventative maintenance and more.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to learn the ASRC Federal Acquisition system and quickly function in it.

  • Understand the Quality Control and Quality Assurance requirements of items ordered.

  • Provide an accurate receiving inventory.

  • Operate in the ASRC Purchasing Database.

  • Is able to express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written; ability to communicate well in person, over the phone and through E-mail.

  • Ability to respond to changing business requirements and priorities.

  • Review all Bill of Materials for the Purchasing Process.

  • Coordinate the arrival of vendors and ensure they can access the site.

  • Maintain the schedule of all items that need preventative maintenance and ensure they stay compliant.

  • Work with the Property department and ensure all material stock is properly labeled and inventory is accurate.

This position is offering a pay range of $54,000 - $74,500 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements :

  • Must have computer experience

  • Must have experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance and track associated documents

  • Receive incoming orders and ensure accuracy

  • Maintain contract inventory material levels

  • Able to follow through with a purchase request to purchase order and receipt of material

  • Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required

  • Must have a valid state driver's license

  • Work may also require being around moving machinery and equipment

  • Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice

  • Must be willing to work outdoors at times when weather can be extremely cold or extremely hot

  • Job requires working at different elevations

Education/Experience:

  • BA Degree or Equivalent level of experience

  • Up to 2 years of related experience

Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
