Summary Individual supports the U.S Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract at Edwards Air Force Base, better known as J-Tech II. Integrits Corporation develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation’s war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today’s missions and tomorrow’s global challenges. A Computer Scientist III provides software and systems engineering services, generally within a work unit or group. This role also holds some Information Assurance Lead and Systems Administrator III duties as listed below for the JSF Program Office (JPO). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for documenting the Vulnerability status on all the Classified IT Platforms in several ATO Boundaries managed by JOTT IT. The documentation required is part of the Body Of Evidence (BoE); specifically the Continuous Monitoring Plan artifacts that informs the JSF Program Office (JPO) on the threat mitigation progress. Experience with JPO approved tools: ACAS for system patching and SCAP tool for GPO setting compliance. Knowledge of Auditing, RMF, STIGs, SCAP, and ACAS. Responsible for overseeing the auditing of all systems on a weekly basis. Provides inputs to other ATO BoE documents: i.e. Risk Assessment, POA&M, internal inspections, and Hardware/Software baselines. Perform System Administration functions such as user account maintenance, application and OS patches and updates, antivirus updates, security/event log review and analysis, network documentation, tape backup operations, hardware issue escalation, user training, system backups, and user support. Makes recommendations for future hardware / software implementations and related process improvements, schedules, plans and performs system upgrades including the transition from design, test, production and documentation environments. Interpret customer requirements and develop and analyze the most appropriate approach to solve technical problems. Develop design of system/software and associated design documentation Prepare and conduct design reviews. Implement design through software coding or hardware and appropriately document the design implementation. Plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing. Participate in maintenance and sustainment activities of system/software. Advise team and project managers on technical problems and interact with customers and project managers on a regular basis. Uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete complex assignments requiring originality and ingenuity performed under minimum supervision with considerable latitude for independent contribution. Serves as POC for problem reporting, incremental version updates and monitors yearly support contract. Apply advanced networking and security knowledge to assist in the buildup of the network(s). Knowledgeable in network security procedures, best practices, and implementation. Exercises discretion and independent judgement in representing and/or resolving matters of significance on behalf of the customer. There is occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal as well constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Required Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a Masters’s degree with 2 years of related experience. Possess 7 years related experience or combination of experience in computer system basics and/or related areas of expertise. CompTIA Security + Certification SECRET Security Clearance (required) Must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems. Employee is expected to routinely cross fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within structured guidelines. Must possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to permit interaction with other employees as well as taking work direction from Section Supervisors. Requires limited to no supervision. Individual must have a sound working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Must be able to successfully pass the required drug test.
