Job Title: Welder - Weekends

Job Description

• You will be working in a fast-paced production environment, welding heavy equipment attachments and components used in industries such as mining, construction, and waste management. Performing heavy welds on large pieces of equipment weighing up to 30,000 lbs. Experience with FCAW and MCAW with CWB tickets in all positions is preferred. You must be comfortable working in various positions, including standing or being on your knees for long periods. Overhead crane experience is required, but a 3rd party certificate is not necessary as in-house training will be provided.

• Wage: $40.29

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy welds on large equipment attachments and components.

• Work with FCAW and MCAW techniques in all positions.

• Operate overhead cranes (training provided if necessary).

• Work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.

• Read and interpret blueprints.

Essential Skills

• Min 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Welder.

• Experience with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and Metal Core Arc Welding (MCAW).

• Comfortable with heavy welds on heavy steel.

• Overhead crane operation experience.

• Experience in a fast-paced production setting.

• Ability to pass a physical examination (physical, audio, and vision).

Work Environment

• You will be working weekends with overtime as required after 40 hours. The shop, located in Edmonton, offers ample parking and public transit access. It is a warm, brightly lit, and clean environment. Employees have opportunities for long-term employment and career growth. You will work on various products and see your efforts in use daily. Management is communicative and supportive, providing coaching and guidance when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.29 - $40.29/hr.
