The Role

A Spray Welder has basic coating skills, masking procedures, measuring skills and able to follow metal spray equipment operation guidelines

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• The Specialty and Metal Sprayer may require 2-3 years of general work experience.

• Familiar with the use of Oerlikon Metco Diamond Jet HVOF equipment.

• Familiar with the use of TAFA TWA equipment.

• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

• Complete clear and accurate paperwork.

• Uses measuring tools to accurately measure parts.

• Maintains equipment in a functional and safe working order.

• Keeps work area in a clean condition, free of hazards.

Basic Requirements:

• One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

• Noise Level: Moderate
