Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant – Jr. to join their team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be part of the FOIP Operational Services supporting the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant – Jr.

Location: Edmonton, AB

Job Description:

  • Monitor all requests received via hard copy and the FOIP System Public Portal.

  • Prepare draft correspondence, including acknowledgment letters and requests for additional details.

  • Create electronic files for all requests received and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Assist advisors with the conversion of documents to PDF format for redaction purposes.

  • Respond to general questions regarding the FOIP process and distribute office correspondence to applicable staff.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests and documentation.

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all correspondence and records.

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and applicants.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Familiarity with administrative processes and procedures.
