Role Overview:

As a Locums Credentialing Coordinator, you will ensure that providers are licensed, credentialed, and gain hospital privileges to practice at the location where they will be providing temporary coverage at. In this position, one should have strong skills in communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

What Youll Do:

  • Work with the AHSA team to start the credentialing process for new temporary staff assignments and escalate any concerns during this process

  • Review and process multiple credentialing files including items such as: MMR, Varicella, Hep B titters/immunizations, physicals, state medical licenses, DEAs, CSRs, etc

  • Work closely with staffing agencies to ensure credentialing requirements are understood and satisfied

  • Maintain daily follow-ups to ensure deadlines are met

  • Track and monitor missed deadlines and start dates for locums providers

  • Monitor expired/expiring credentials while a provider has active privileges and obtain updated items as needed

  • Assisting the Credentialing Lead and leadership to ensure the AHSA team can meet and exceed the performance goals

  • Working in AHSAs proprietary VMS tool, Trio, to ensure files remain accurate and up to date

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare credentialing/compliance experience

  • Minimum 1 year locums tenens compliance experience, to include end-to-end MSO/CVO processes, reviewing applications, managing/maintaining temporary/full privileges, reappointments, verifying licenses and DEA credentials
