System One Repair Shop Assistant in Edison, New Jersey

Repair Shop Assistant

Salary: $65k-$75k

Primary Duties:

  1. Performs work required to repair/rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic pumps and motors (2 cycle and 4 cycle engines).

  2. Technician will evaluate the equipment and determine the reason for failure, generate a parts list, labor estimate and perform timely repairs.

  3. Address and resolve customer requests, complaints and objections with a positive and creative approach.

  4. Coordinate efforts with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.

  5. Ensure the highest level of customer service, ethics and teamwork are followed.

    Job Requirements:

  6. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and at least 3 years' experience working with mechanical and/or hydraulic assemblies.

  7. Nature of this position may at times require physically demanding tasks This includes but is not limited to long periods of standing, lifting up to 50lbs (or more with assistance) as well as kneeling and bending.

  8. Must have basic PC knowledge.

  9. A good work ethic, team player, reliable and willingness to learn are key attributes in order to be considered.

    This is a full-time salaried position. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
