We are currently seeking a Highways Technician to join our growing Scottish Roads and Highways team. As a Highways Technician you will help with the production of design deliverables for a wide range of different projects as part of a welcoming, close-knit and supportive team. Working in collaboration with the team and with guidance and support from Engineers and Senior Engineers, you will help to deliver solutions for our clients

You will play an important role in the preparation of design deliverables, including 3D models and drawings for our clients, including Transport Scotland, Local Authorities and Design and Build Contractors. Our portfolio includes a variety of roads and highways projects from smaller scale local improvements to large national strategic schemes and frameworks. We also work with and support teams across the UK to deliver schemes for clients, both big and small.

Working with local teams, and with support from the wider Digital Practice Team, you will be involved in the day to day preparation and production of design deliverables. Using the latest 3D software, you will develop 3D models in collaboration with Engineers and Senior Engineers for all highway design elements.

About You

Ideally, you will have a HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent. You will be a competent user of computers, with experience of Autodesk’s AutoCAD. Ideally, you will have knowledge of highway design and experience with Civils 3D.
