In this position, your leadership will be responsible for the performance and oversite of environmental advisors who coordinate air emissions work in support of operations for the US gas transmission system. What You Will Do: Develop and supervise a work team, which includes technical and administrative level positions located in both Canada and the US in support of petroleum pipelines, natural gas pipelines and gas distribution assets. Plan, supervise and coordinate their activities and work, as they interact with other departments and disciplines across the company. Participate in budget preparation and tracking, as well as establishing and monitoring progress toward department goals. Provide clear continuous direction to staff in support of completion of program objectives. Identify needed support from outside consultants, develop scopes of work, manage issuance of contracts, and manage work to ensure timely delivery of agreed upon work products. Review and development of Air Compliance processes, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with US and Canada federal, provincial and state regulatory agencies. Ability to provide oversight for the review and update of Air Compliance manuals, forms and databases. Work with Projects, Engineering, Construction, Business Development, Project Development, Lands/ROW, Government Relations, Law, and others, in the development and execution of program and/or project scopes across the Enbridge system. Provide insight on emerging air regulations including support of impacts analysis. Conduct and prepare regulatory applicability studies. Serve in an advisory capacity providing regulatory and technical input to support air compliance management programs. Interact with federal and/or state agencies and internal departments to resolve environmental compliance issues. Define potential areas of risk and risk mitigation strategies. Establish systems to maintain compliance and minimize negative impact to the environment during projects. Ensure timely execution as well as quality management and quality assurance of air permit applications and authorization documentation. Interact with agencies and internal departments to understand regulatory requirements and operational processes and constraints to ensure effective air compliance measures. Who You Are: You have the following education and experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field including, but not limited to environmental studies, physical sciences, social sciences, engineering, or similar. 7+ years of environmental experience in a relevant application with a high degree of knowledge and practical experience with US and/or Canadian air compliance regulations. Preferred: Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated exceptional technical and/or procedure writing skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of word processing, EHS database applications, presentation and spreadsheet software. Supervisory experience with practical experience developing and executing project work plans. Ability to give clear direction and support to client groups to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines. Ability to work independently in a fast paced setting with minimal supervision. Experience using and developing defined processes for managing Environmental risks and determining risk hierarchy. Ability to successfully lead a workgroup on various types of air compliance and permitting projects. Demonstrated proficiency in the development and implementation of NSR and T tle V air permits in multiple states and jurisdictions. Experience with FERC-regulated projects. Experience working with regulatory agencies across the Enbridge operational footprint Working Conditions: Office environment with periodic travel up to 20%.
